I love water.
I drink it all day long.

Over 800 million people globally, including children, do not have the luxury of clean water to drink. About 2.5 billion don't have the ability to use clean and safe sanitary facilities.
Over 2,000 children die each day from preventable diseases, thousands of children are unable to attend school, and millions of women can't work because they are caring for their sick children while collecting water.
Water is, indeeed, a luxury. I didn't even realize it until now.
Clean, safe water is something many of us take for granted.
Founded in 1981, WaterAid, transforms lives by helping the world's poorest people gain access to safe water and sanitation. Together with local organizations, communities, and individuals, WaterAid uses affordable and locally appropriate solutions to provide safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education to people in developing countries.
They live each day by their mission and vision, and this is demonstrated by their success. Their success is evidenced by program development in 27 countries including Africa, Asia, the Pacific region, Central America, and offices in the US, the UK, and Sweden.

The next time you drink a glass of clear, sparkling water,
remember the moment for, to many, it is a moment of luxury.
